Service Options for Our Customers
In Person – Covered by Insurance
Depending on the insurance and policy, some patients are able to start PT for a certain amount of time without an order. This is referred to as Direct Access. After that designated time, our office will try to obtain an order if the patient needs to continue. A patient will choose when being scheduled for their initial evaluation if they would like to be contacted regarding any financial responsibility. Any financial responsibility is collected at the time of service.
Please note that information from any insurance company is never a guarantee of payment.
In Person – Self Pay
At times it works better to pay cash instead of billing an insurance company. Depending on the insurance, this may lessen the financial responsibility. Due to extremely high deductibles not being satisfied, self-pay may be the way to have your PT goals met.
For self-pay patients, there is a $95 charge for your initial evaluation, then a charge of $75 for per visit. This will be collected at the time of service.
Telehealth appointments are available as needed or desired, whether you have insurance coverage or want to self-pay.
While telehealth visits are always available, we understand some patients may be hesitant to attend in-person physical therapy visits at this time due to the coronavirus. Through telehealth, your risk of exposure is lessened. Although rest-assured, our staff is diligent with sanitizing and maintaining their areas and following all precautions to mitigate the spread of the virus. When you choose to visit us in-person, we will also take your personal needs into consideration to protect your safety.
Currently due to Covid-19, most insurances are waiving any costs related to a telehealth visit. We will verify your specific benefits before the initial evaluation.
At Auburn PT, our billing and insurance staff works diligently to facilitate physical therapy services according to the scope of your Work Comp. Typically, in a Work Comp situation, you shouldn’t have to worry about any financial responsibility, although this is never a guarantee.
Any kind of Work Comp requires a prescription from the ordering physician and authorization from the adjuster. For most, the adjuster will authorize a set amount of visits depending on what the physician has recommended, and your covered visits are highly based on the scope of the adjusters specific authorization.
We recommend patience when having physical therapy in a Work Comp covered situation. Sorting things out isn’t always timely as far as a response with the adjuster authorizations needed.
